Pigtail (or coiled pipe) steam siphons should be used on all steam applications. Pigtail steam siphons protect the instrument from the damaging effects of direct exposure to the high temperature steam.
To properly install and use a pigtail steam siphon, install the siphon in the pressure port, fill the siphon with water and install the pressure gauge. The water will fill the lower half of the coil and will act as a protective barrier between the high temperature steam and the pressure gauge.
We recommend pigtail steam siphons for all steam applications. Available in 180° and 360° coil styles. |
